Miss Florida A&M University is Hope Hampshire, a senior history education major from Green Cove Springs, Fla. She wants to earn a master's degree in education leadership.

Miss Xavier University, Maiysha D. Jones, is from Lithonia, Ga. The senior is a biology/chemistry major who volunteers with various organizations.

Miss Alcorn State University, Tiffany Monique Lloyd, is a senior psychology major from Ferriday, La. She is a member of the gospel choir and intends to become a psychologist.

Miss University of Southern Mississippi is Tiffany N. Clemmons of Columbus, Miss. She is a senior majoring in biology/pre-dentistry who aspires to become a dentist.

Cheryl Y. Grant of Gary, W. Va., is Miss West Virginia State College. The senior chemistry/pre-medicine major is striving to become an anesthesiologist.

Hadiyah Nicole is Miss Alabama A&M University. A native of St. Louis, the senior physics major is a published poet who intends to pursue a doctorate in optics.

Twanna N. Drummond is Miss Allen University. A native of Greer, S.C., she is a senior majoring in biology and enjoys mentoring and wants to become a physical therapist.

LaTatika Reid of Charlotte, N.C., is Miss Barber-Scotia College. The senior political science major plans to enroll in the police academy and pursue a career with the FBI.

Christal Long is Miss Bowie State University. A senior biology major from Capitol Heights, Md., she hopes to earn a doctorate in biological sciences and conduct research.

Asheena McNeil is Miss Clark Atlanta University. The senior mass media arts major is from Bronx, N.Y., and wants to open an African-centered charter school.

Marie Augustine Lalyre of Senegal, West Africa, is Miss Edward Waters College. The senior communications major plans to open a school for the deaf and blind.

Miss Benedict College is Tenikka L. Smith of Whitakers, N.C. The mass communications major is a senior who plans to pursue a master's degree in broadcast news.

Miss Central State University is Scharita Lynn Barry of Toledo, Ohio. A senior majoring in business administration, she aspires to obtain a master's degree in business.

Miss Coppin State College is Starr Randle, a sophomore front Petersburg, Va. The biology major's long-term goals include owning a health and massage therapy spa.

Miss Elizabeth City State University, Tanyetta (Tai) Pittman, is a senior from Newport News, Va. The business/marketing major hopes to become a marketing executive.

Crystal Henderson of Houston is Miss Bennett College. The senior mass communications major hopes to become an executive producer at a major TV station.

Stacy-Ann Davidson of Laurelton, N.Y., is Miss Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. The junior accounting major writes poetry and hopes to become an accountant.

Ronisha F. Turner, a native of Windsor, Conn., is Miss Delaware State University. A senior public relations major, she plans to attend law school and become an agent.

Yvonne Richmond, a senior, is Miss Fayetteville State University. The Charlotte, N.C., native is a marketing major who plans to become a retail marketing executive.
