At home with Evander Holyfield and his new bride: former heavyweight champ opens the doors to his Atlanta paradise - A 109-Room Showplace

Ebony, April, 2004 by Kevin Chappell

Holyfield spends much of his time when he's not training for a fight working with his other business interests, including his management company (Holyfield Management, Inc.), his clothing company (Warrior Properties), his record company (Real Deal Records), and the cable TV network (MBC) he is building with co-owner, famed attorney Willie Gary.

The boxer says one secret to his success has been his approach to life. "I have always had a good attitude," he says. "That's the key to my success. I've never had an attitude. I became a millionaire, not because I did something sensational, but because I had a good attitude."

And love. "Whatever your gift is, if you do it with love, you'll be all right," he continues. "If you do it without love, I don't care how good you are, in the end, it's not going to turn out right."
