LARRY TRIPPLETT is chairman and CEO of the National Black McDonald's Operators Association (NBMOA). As chairman and CEO, he oversees the organization's efforts to empower its members in an increasingly competitive environment while providing business and employment opportunities for the African-American community.
Prior to his current responsibilities, Tripplett served as vice chairman and president of the western division for the NBMOA. The organization includes more than 335 franchisees and 1,300 restaurants, accounting for more than $2 billion in annual sales. Triplett, a former assistant principal who began his career with McDonald's in 1986, owns seven McDonald's restaurants. He received a bachelor's and master's degree from California State University in Long Beach.
