I would like to say that I immensely enjoyed the "Money Talk$" column, "What Every Sister Should Know About Managing Her Money" (March 2002). As an African-American male student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a taxpayer, I have become more aware of tax laws after completing courses such as federal income and corporate taxation.

After reading the article, it's imperative that more African-Americans educate themselves on the new provisions so that we can take full advantage of new tax laws. Realizing the power of tax laws, many affluent Americans have embraced the new changes for 2002 and are taking advantage of an opportunity to talk money.

During tax season, most Americans dread the-thought of making payments to the IRS. If more African-Americans would take time out during the middle of the year to plan and prepare, we could benefit from the new tax laws.

I would like to thank Mr. Aaron G. Jackson and EBONY magazine for such an informative article.

The more African-Americans are encouraged to educate themselves about new changes in tax laws there be fewer interest-free loans are given to the IRS. For our children% sake, please continue to inform African-Americans about the advantages of new tax laws.

Keep in mind that when "Money Talk$," smart people listen.

The first thing I would like to say is that I love your magazine, and all the exciting topics you come up with. I have already read your "Money Talk$" column, "Dating and Dollars" (Feb. 2002). I enjoyed reading the article because I think it gives readers an outlook on what's going on now in the dating world. I really like the passage that commented on displaying excessive amounts of financial wealth because I feel that it gives the other person the wrong message that you may be trying to display. I personally believe that whoever asks for the date should pay for the date.
