ALPHONSO JACKSON is Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Prior to his appointment, Jackson served as chief operating officer and deputy secretary of HUD, managing the day-to-day operations of a $32 billion annual budget and 9,300 employees. Before joining HUD, Jackson served as president of American Electric Power-Texas, a $13 billion utility company in Austin.
