TIFFANY MARIE LATHAM has a perfect 4.0 GPA at the Clark Montessori High School in Cincinnati. Latham has received accolades from the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati and has successfully completed internships at City Hall and the African-American Chamber of Commerce. She wants to become an adolescent psychologist.
RACHEL OKUNUBI of the Benjamin Banneker Academic High School in Washington, D.C. is a participant in the International Baccalaureate program, president of the Student Government Association. She is a member of the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society and the National Honor Society. She will study political science.
NKECHIYERUM JESSICA EHULE is the top-ranked student at the Walnut Ridge High School in Columbus, Ohio. Ehule is in the jazz, concert and marching bands, and is a member of the National Honor Society. She wants to become an emergency room doctor.
CHRISTIAN STRONG is valedictorian of the Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles. Strong has achieved a sophomore-to-senior-class promotion and is a recipient of the AP Scholar with Honor award. He plans to become a neurosurgeon.
KRYSTLE WHITLOCK of the University High School of the Humanities in Newark, N.J., is a student ambassador who travels to study foreign cultures in Italy, Germany, Switzerland and France. She is on the National Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honor Society. She wants to be a pediatric surgeon.
KEVIN MICHAEL COUSINS is the top-ranked student at the Huguenot High School in Richmond, Va. Cousins is a member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society and the varsity football and track teams. He will pursue a degree in kinesiology.
DEVONA MOORE of the Northeast High School in Kansas City, Mo., is a member of the National Honor Society and is a recipient of the Sojourner Citizenship Award. Moore, the senior class president and JROTC brigade commander, wants to study journalism.
KIMBERLY JONES is the top-ranked student at the Choir Academy of Harlem in New York. She is a recipient of the National Achievement Award from the Royal School of Music in music theory, violin and piano. Jones, also a member of the debate team, plans to become a physical therapist.
ASA WYNN-GRANT is the top-ranked student at the Granby High School in Norfolk. 6rantisa recipient of the Princeton Book Award and is a lead programmer on the NORSTAR Robotics team. He plans to study computer science.
JENNIFER GOODSON With a 4.8 GPA, Jennifer Goodson of Cleveland's Early College High School ranks in the top 1 percent of her class. Goodson, a member of the National Honor Society, has received the Principal's Award and high honors in French. She wants to study interior design.
ROBERT JACKSON of Chicago's Whitney Young Magnet High School is a member of the math team, National Honor Society and the Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering Academic Challenge Team. Jackson, who has a 4.8 GPA, plans to study engineering.
