Jacque Reid, BET Nightly News anchor, was mistress of ceremonies for the luncheon awards program that was held at the Hilton New York and Towers.

Dr. Julianne Malveaux (below, right), president & CEO, Last Word Productions, Inc., was one of the recipients of the journalism award.

Among the corporate marketing award recipients was Gayle Cruise (above, l.), group marketing & communications, Microsoft Corporation, who received the award from Dawn Kelly, VP Global Communications, Prudential Financial Inc. At right, Vicki Mabrey (l.), news correspondent, CBS News, 60 Minutes II, was a recipient of the journalism award, which was presented by Esther Silver-Parker (far right), president, AT&T Foundation and corporate external affairs VP for AT&T.

Among the award winners in the fashion and entertainment marketing category were Kimora Lee Simmons (far left), president and creative director, Baby Phat, and Leslie Short (left), president of marketing advertising & public relations, FUBU and FUBU Entertainment.

Corporate executives in attendance at the awards luncheon included Byron Lewis (far left), chairman and CEO of UniWorld Group, and Noel N. Hankin, vice president of multicultural marketing at Schieffelin & Somerset Co.

During the luncheon, Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields presents Linda Johnson Rice with a proclamation that declared the event "Outstanding Women In Marketing and Communications Day" in New York City.
