RE: Music - influence of Black music on White America
i find this article interesting.
i was thinking of white music type of music but i couldnt tell what type of music they invented.
all the music i know of is invented or influenced by blacks.
gospel, soul, blues, jaz reggae, ska, rap, rock and roll..........
i love music and all the blacks i know love music too.
at least we western blacks use our tribulations from the past to create wide range of job oppertunities in the music industry. There are wide variety of jobs involved.
Im proud of us westerners for this achievement.
As a black person i know that we are good in science and technology but the asians and whites out number us.
they have, lance armstrong, sigmud froid and even the great albert inestine(sorry if i get the spelling wrong) they also have the physics guy ( dont remember his name) and as for the asians, including indians from india.I know their vast technical and science skills but we dont learn that stuff over here.We just buy their stuff.
Music is healing to the mind, body and soul. It brings back memories and lead your mind into wonders and imagination.
Music tells a story, release pain and anger and makes you happy.
Music is like a natural high. It can get you jumping and dancing and it can put you to sleep like a witches spel.
Music is binds nationalities and the races together.
i appreciate the asians and whites for their contribution to technology but imagine a world without war and atomic bombs, global warming......
if i was given the choice to choose amoung
Music and science then ild deffinately take MUSIC.
At the end of the day, for you to be a legend of this mellenium you have to had been a MUSIC ARTIST while you were living.
All the godfathers of western music ( which is ofcourse "universal music" are black) as ive recently come to acknowlege.
I dont find that africans achieved what black westeners achieved in music but i believe its a result of slavery and oppression. slavery caused a merging of white and black culture. whether it was forced it doesnt matter now.
Now we have to be proud of what weve become and what weve achieved as a result.
congrats to all the music legends micheal jackson, bob marley, elvis presley....... and big up to all black westerners.
keep singing, dancing and dominating the sports industry.
we are the best at it.
