Cadillac Seville STS, the GM division's luxury flagship, enters 1995 with an updated 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engine with a power boost of five horsepower to 300 horsepower for improved performance. STS, which offers international touring ability combined with American styling characteristics, features Speed-Sensitive Steering, which reduces or adds steering effort according to vehicle speed.
Chrysler New Yorker, a six-passenger luxury sedan powered by a 3.5-liter V6, returns in 1995 with new features that include standard dual air bags and electronic speed control. Optional amenities are automatic temperature control, illuminated entry system and a compass and trip computer.
Chrysler Concorde, which was introduced in 1993 as an affordable alternative to high-priced mid-size luxury sedans, continues its tradition in 1995 with standard dual air bags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes and structural reinforcement of the door beams for greater protection against side impact.
Dodge Viper RT/10 continues as a high-performance sports car with several technological innovations. An all-aluminum 8-liter V10 engine, the largest available today, produces 400 horsepower. Capable of 165 mph top speed and acceleration from O to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, it is linked to a six-speed manual transmission.
Plymouth Acclaim, a low-priced roomy sedan, lists among its 1995 standards a driver-side air bag, an electronically fuel-injected four-cylinder engine, speed control, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, rear defroster and AM/FM radio with cassette player. Optional is a fuel-injected V6 engine for added power.
Buick Riveria for 1995 offers a supercharged 38,00 V6, which is rated 225 horsepower. The optional supercharged 3800 provides the power of a larger V8 engine in a smaller package. Luxury features include new orthopedically designed seats. Standards include power windows and automatic climate control.
Aurora by Oldsmobile is an all-new, mid-size, fourdoor, luxury performance sedan that is powered by a V8 engine. Frameless side glass provides an airy interior and facilitates entry and exit to and from the back seat. In keeping with its designers' objective, the Aurora combines sporty functionality with passenger comfort.
Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe is designed for the young-at-heart. It makes its debut with standard full fold-down rear seats, 15.2 gallon fuel tank for a range of nearly 500 miles and optional cassette and CD sound system. It is powered by a 2.2-liter, 120-horsepower engine available with manual or automatic transmission.
Chevrolet Lumina, thanks to advanced engineering, has reduced the number of parts used in the 1994 models from 3200 to only 2300. Standards include driver and front-right passenger side air bags, PASSKey electronic theft-deterrent system, air conditioning, power door locks and child security rear-door locks.
Mercury Mystique, a five-passenger, four-wheel-drive, mid-size family sedan, will be introduced with two new engines, two new transmissions and new safety and security systems. Mystique's standard passenger compartment features a sophisticated air filtration system that traps particals as small as three microns.
