One in a Million. - sound recording reviews

Ebony, June, 1991 by Lynn Norment

Al Green's newest recording, One In A Million (Word), is at once soothing and uplifting. This is a collection of familiar and well-loved gospel songs, most from Green's Grammy Award-winning gospel albums, The Lord Will Make A Way, Higher Plane and Precious Lord. All of the songs are produced by Green, who in the early '70s returned to his religious roots and began recording gospel music rather than the rhythm and blues for which he'd become famous.

Among the soul-stirring songs on this recording are "Too Close," "Amazing Grace" and "None But The Righteous."
