Love, Nancy
Ebony, July, 1994 by Lynn Norment
The incomparable Nancy Wilson woes not disappoint her fans on her latest recording, Love, Nancy columbia). On this her 55th album, Wilson's distinctive, mellifluous vocals are as beautiful and strong as ever as she makes the transition from various moods and tempos. On "Day Dream," she is sensuous, while on "I Remember" and "More Love" she is somewhat melancholy.
The first song, "Love Dance," features a lovely saxophone solo by Gerald Albright. "Love Won't Let Me Wait" is rendered with Wilson's distinctive sexy growl, and "Your Arms Of love," written by BeBe Winans, adds a touch of hope and spirituality.
