THE MARK MORRIS DANCE GROUP and the University of California's CAL PERFORMANCES have announced an expanded Berkeley residency for the Brooklyn-based company. The new arrangement includes a minimum of two annual performance weeks at Zellerbach Hall; at least one world premiere per year; a more intense series of school performances; publicly accessible master classes, symposia and discussions; and classes in dance and choreography for university students.
In April, the university's performing troupe, Bay Area Repertory Dance, will incorporate Morris's 1982 Canonic 3/4 Studies, staged by MMDG member Joe Bowie.
