As a reader of DANCE MAGAZINE since 1959 and a steady contributor between the mid-'70s and the mid-'80s, I'd like to say that Allegra Kent's recent essay in the magazine (see "Memories of Madame Karinska," October 2003, page 58) about Barbara Karinska is the single most beautiful piece of dance writing I've encountered in the magazine since the prose of Edwin Denby.
