Dance Magazine, March, 2002
For the third year in a row, Royal Swedish Ballet dancers are leaping through the months in their very own wall calendar. The gravity-defying photos are snapped by photographer and Norwegian National Ballet dancer John Andresen. RSB dancer Stian Armstad organizes the project, his fellow performers pose free, and all proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders, a program that brings health care to underserved areas.
"The calendar is very popular in Sweden, and it's almost sold out already," said Andresen at press time. But it's possible to check the supply and view other photos through his Web site www.johnandresen.com). Over the years, the calendar has raised thousands of dollars for Doctors Without Borders, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999.
