The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts was awarded a $1 million grant by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation for the documentation of jazz, contemporary dance, and theater performances, the recording of oral histories related to the performances, and the preservation of oral histories related to the life and work of Martha Graham.
