In L.A., winners of the Spotlight Awards, a scholarship competition for some of the area's most gifted young people, were announced. Diane Booth, 16, from Newport Beach, received the award for classical dance. Flamenco dancer Timo Nunezbellamy, 17, of Santa Barbara was awarded the nonclassical prize.
