The FORD FOUNDATION has awarded a five-year grant of $1,250,000 to UCLA's CENTER FOR INTERCULTURAL PERFORMANCE to establish an endowment to support the center's core programs and develop new initiatives. * New York's DANCE THEATER WORKSHOP has announced the 2003 Outer/Space grant recipients: BRONX ACADEMY OF ARTS AND DANCE; TOPAZ ARTS, INC.; SPOKE THE HUB DANCING, INC.; TRISKELION ARTS, INC.; and UNION STREET DANCE.
Awards range from $3,600-$6,500. * NEW YORK FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS has received an unsolicited gift of $1 million from the CORDELIA CORPORATION. Part of the money will go toward stabilizing NYFA's Artists' Fellowships program over three years.
