Dance Magazine, July, 2004 by Linda Saunders
I was delighted to read Wendy Perron's "Potential Over Perfection" [DANCE: MAGAZINE, April 2004, page 48] covering wonderful success stories from the Youth America Grand Prix competition My 14-year-old daughter has competed in YAGP for three years and I wish to echo Simone Messmer's comments regarding YAGP cofounder Larissa Saveliev. She took the time to meet with my daughter in 2003 to provide her with coaching suggestions and encouragement. My daughter listened to her advice and returned to the regional competition in 2004 to receive 2nd-place honors. Larissa provides encouragement, inspiration, and belief in our next generation of dancers.
