Lucinda Lavelli was named provost and vice chancellor for arts and academic programs at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Previously, she was director of the School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration at Ohio's University of Akron. She replaced William A. Pruitt, who retired.
