Exhibit exposure

Dance Magazine, August, 2008

Though Kenn Duncan began his career as a dancer, after injuring his leg he picked up a camera and started photographing dancers and celebrities. Among his portrait subjects of the '70s and '80s were Baryshnikov, Nureyev, Chita Rivera, Tommy Tune, Judith Jamison, and Hollywood stars like Carol Channing, Twiggy, and Angela Lansbury. He contributed often to Dance Magazine and its then-affiliate, After Dark. The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, which acquired his collection in 2003, honors his career with Kenn Duncan: A Retrospective Exhibition, July 30-Oct. 25. www.nypl.org.
