Mpho Tutu has taken up the family business. The 40-year-old daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu of Cape Town, South Africa, was ordained a priest in the Episcopal church Jan. 17 in Virginia. The elder Tutu, 72, was clearly moved after the service, when he removed his bishop's miter and knelt with three other bishops to be blessed by the new priests.

Mpho smiled, placed her hands on her father's cheeks, and gave him a small kiss. "It was awesome," she said. Mpho is married to a sportswriter for The Boston Globe and has a 7-year-old daughter.
