DESCRIPTION: The National Institute for Inner Healing is a clinical-pastoral training program committed to healing the whole person. We are committed to empower each person to seek his/her personal gifts of healing, wholeness and well-being. As we learn to "live life to the full" (John 10:10) as Jesus Christ lived, we discover our personal growth and healing through the mutual reverence of our body, mind and spirit (1 Thes: 5:23). Attend one or all 4 weeks. Aug. 7-11, "Healing Family Relationships" includes the study of family genogram and the ways to break family patterns of dysfunction, unhealthy relationships, intimacy, family definitions of anger, breaking family secrets, healing of abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, loss of a child and healing of memories. Aug. 14-18, "Healing Childhood Wounds" includes understanding the inner child in order to break patterns of stinking thinking, self-sabotage and guilt/shame. Heal sexuality and reclaim personal self-esteem; integrity, as well as heal addictions, post traumatic stress disorder and co-dependency. Aug. 21-25, "Healing the Sears of Abuse" includes healing trauma, loss of a child and healing of memories. Learn how to pray with victims of violence, depression, anxiety, fear, inner vow, suicide and homicide. Also learn about stressbusters and choicemaking. Aug. 28- Sept. 1, "Healing the Whole Person" includes techniques for physical, emotional and spiritual healing. These techniques include dreamwork, anger work, understanding archetypes, healing paradigm, stages of healing, symbolic woundedness, health care inventory and soaking prayer. DESCRIPTION: "Vocation and Formation Providers' Training." Level one, day one -- Exploration of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and its application to affiliation and belonging, anger and conflict management. Day two -- Learn how to use the genogram family tree and help candidates explore the five topologies of a dysfunctional family system. Day three -- Learn how to use the conscious celibacy assessment inventory and understand the warning signs of unconscious celibacy. Day four -- Understand the mother and father wound and understand what a person needs to receive from their mother and father so they can truly leave home and begin a formation process. Day five -- What is healthy sexuality and what are some gender-related issues? What are the implications of sexual preference in the formation process? Level two -- The level two program is designed by the needs and requests of those who have completed level one.
