Santa Clara University's president, Jesuit Fr. Paul Locatelli, has announced that he is resigning to take an assignment with the Jesuit order in Rome promoting cooperation among Jesuit higher education institutions. Jesuit Ft. Robert J. Spitzer, president of Gonzaga University, announced that he plans to leave his post in July 2009.
Spitzer said he plans to keep up his relationship with the school and continue to write and lecture on ethics, faith, leadership, metaphysics and philosophy.
