DESCRIPTION: Villa Maria Retreat Center, a ministry of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, located in peaceful, pastoral Western Pennsylvania, welcomes the REAPS (Religious Education and Pastoral Studies) certificate in Spiritual Direction program June 5-11. This proven, four year program offers participants the skills to journey with others in the spiritual life. Each year includes an intensive one week session at VMRC followed by guided, required readings, reflection papers, self-evaluations, personal spiritual direction, and a practicum with supervision. Come to CCIDD (Cuernavaca Center for Intercultural Dialogue on Development), located in Cuernavaca, Mexico, to experience and understand the suffering and struggles of Latin Americans committed to building a better life for all. Why are they pouring across our borders and into our churches? Learn how we can help improve situations on both sides of the border and build a better, more just world as God calls us to do. CCIDD is an ecumenical Christian experience, now sponsored by the US Province of the Society of the Divine Savior (Salvatorians). Its program provides an environment for experiential education and dialog using visits to urban and rural communities, guest speakers, and other reflective resources.
