Arnold Schwarzenegger, actor and California gubernatorial candidate, has donated $1,000 to help with the restoration and renovation of the Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior, Wis. Schwarzenegger, who is Catholic, earned a bachelor of arts degree through the University of Wisconsin-Superior's extended degree program in 1979, and made several visits to the campus to complete the degree requirements

Arnold Schwarzenegger, actor and California gubernatorial candidate, has donated $1,000 to help with the restoration and renovation of the Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior, Wis. Schwarzenegger, who is Catholic, earned a bachelor of arts degree through the University of Wisconsin-Superior's extended degree program in 1979, and made several visits to the campus to complete the degree requirements.
A diocesan official said Schwarzenegger was among the potential major donors contacted about the cathedral project and that he "generously responded."
