Breastfeeding
National Catholic Reporter, Oct 8, 2004 by Rachel Conrad Walberg
Her sound, the cry
the wail
Body speaks to body
The baby cries, your breast
responds
Milk ducts release, your breast
begins to flow
Responds to need
reacts to sound ...
the sound, the cry, the wail.
You need her mouth,
the sucking pull
You need to give, she needs
the gift of you. You flow
into her mouth. Ah so.
You need
each other
Flowing
giving
nursing, sharing
My body
My milk ...
Given for you.
