National conference focusing on the new Catholic bishops' National Plan and Strategy for Evangelization in the United States, called "Go and Make Disciples." Place: Schaumburg, IL Time: Sept. 23-26,1993 Description: National Conference on Preaching. Theme: Lord, Your Servant Is Listening: Sunday Preaching Today. Conference will focus on critical issues in the Sunday preaching event. Fred Baumer, Joan Delaplane, Most Reverend Kenneth Untener, J. Glenn Murray, Teresita Weind, Robert Schreiter and Robert Waznak among the 25 resource persons. Place: Center for Pastoral Liturgy, Notre Dame, IN Time: June 14-17,1993 Description: The Notre Dame Center for Pastoral Liturgy announces its 21st liturgical conference June 14-17, 1993. Speakers include Gertrud M. Nelson, Mary Collins, Julia Upton, Andrew Ciferni, Theresa Koernke, Don Neumann, Peter Ghiloni, Barbara Bowe, Marchita Mauck, Carol Nyberg, Tina Lillig. Based on new insights from ritual studies, the conference highlights primary languages of liturgy: body, word, music and environment. June 6-10, 1993 Description: Our Community's Concern: Pastoral Care arid AIDS offers a twofold opportunity at Merrimack College for pastoral care-givers with persons living with AIDS: June 4-6, a retreat; and June 6-10, a conference. Small Christian community members from the United States and Canada are invited to gather to create a collective voice for small Christian communities. The convocation agenda will include a lively combination of prayer, presentations, sharing and celebration. Speakers, including Richard Rohr, Art Baranowski and Margo Le Bert, will focus on the formation and life of small Christian communities.
