PLACE: Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA TIME: Year-round program and two summer sessions: June 24-July 12 and July 15-Aug. 2, 1996 DESCRIPTION: Santa Clara University offers courses year-round to prepare women and men for church ministry. While the graduate program in Pastoral Ministries provides a foundational core sequence and a theologically sound approach, it remains flexible enough to meet individual needs for personal educational choice and development. Students may enroll for the year or individual quarters. Nondegree options exist along with master's degrees in catechetics, pastoral liturgy, liturgical music and spirituality. A Jesuit institute, SCU is 46 miles south of San Francisco and 40 minutes from Pacific Ocean beaches. This includes ministry within the oncology, family health and dialysis clinics, as well as with the AIDS, hospice, elder care and parish communities among Lowell's multidiverse population. Courses, workshops and lectures may be taken for audit or for credit as part of the new Leadership in Ministry Certification, a self-designed, flexible study program which may be pursued full-time during a sabbatical, or part-time for up to three years.
