Arts festival expands horizons for W. Virginia parishes: Croatian children's art cries out against atrocities everywhere

At a time when art is under siege in America, one artistic thing can still lead to another, jumping from genre to genre, country to country, appealing to what is best in our imperfect nature.

Amid all the barbed wire and pain in the children's art from Bosnia/Croatia, one image lingers, of three people planting a tree and watering it.

Bosnia, in an artistic somersault, sends hope to America.
