Renting personal watercraft successfully - National Aquatic Branch

Parks & Recreation, Oct, 2002

The community wants it and you can get it, but will the venture be safe and cost-efficient? Better yet, can you make money to offset maintenance and administrative expenses? These are the questions aquatic facilities operators ask before they get into the rental business. It's old-school to think that government agencies and nonprofits shouldn't turn a profit. Instead, you should offer programs and services that meet community needs and that generate profits that can be reinvested to expand programs and services.

NRPA recently developed Renting Personal Watercraft Successfully, a manual to help community and small business livery operations to improve standards of operation, provide better customer service and reduce the risk of property damage.
