The Iowa Park and Recreation Association hosted the first Annual Lifeguard Challenge in Ames, Iowa, this summer. The Lifeguard Challenge consisted of eight events, including rescue scenarios, complex medical responses and fun relay events. Bringing support from a local Pepsi distributor, Pool Tech Midwest, and Subway helped enhance the event and encourage greater participation.
