National Park Foundation sponsors benefit photo contest
Parks & Recreation, Oct, 2006
The National Park Foundation and Casio have launched a photography contest to benefit lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service. The grand prize winner will be featured on the front of the 2008 Federal Recreation Lands Pass, which allows access to public lands (such as National Parks)that typically charge a fee.
Amateur photographers can enter up to three photos taken at any U.S. federal land. In addition to the Federal Recreation Lands Pass contest, the Family Fun contest will award prizes for photography featuring families enjoying federal lands. The contest, which will accept entries until Dec. 31, will award a Ford Escape Hybrid, vacations to federal recreation areas and Casio Exilim Zoom cameras.
