2005 NRPA National Legislative and Policy Forum
Feb. 16-20, 2005
Grand Hyatt Washington
Washington, D.C.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The 2005 National Legislative and Policy Forum is the association's opportunity to bring the needs and issues of the field to the attention of lawmakers and our country's decision-makers. With special emphasis for citizens, the forum looks to encourage public support for public parks and recreation. Attendees will stress the importance of public parks and recreation to the community, family and individual health and wellness. Given the Bush administration's priorities, many communities' parks and recreation services are at risk.
NRPA's 2005 Legislative Forum is a critical show of strength to ensure continued national support.
This year's forum also includes the opportunity for attendees to contribute to the development of NRPA's national advocacy message, which will result in a three-year plan to increase public awareness and involvement in protecting public parks and recreation services.
