Coaching for the coaches - Tip-Off - Brief Article

BlazeSports Clubs of America will hold a coaches training seminar for coaches of physically challenged athletes March 17-19 in Athens, Ga. The seminar will provide participants with classroom and hands-on instruction by nationally and internationally recognized experts in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, wheelchair tennis, swimming, and track and field. Additionally, the seminar will include keynote sessions featuring Charlie Huebner, CEO of U.S. Paralympics, and Carol Johnson, sport technical officer for the International Paralympic Committee.
The seminar is designed for community-based coaches who currently train novice or emerging athletes with physical disabilities, as well as individuals with no previous experience coaching athletes with a physical disability. In addition, the seminar is appropriate for educators, students, adaptive sports professionals, and rehabilitation and health care professionals.
