Strong leadership supports national outreach - Armed Forces Recreation Society - new leaders - Brief Article

Parks & Recreation, Feb, 2003

With the growing involvement of our armed forces in international events, the Morale, Recreation and Welfare departments of the military have had to step up efforts to support the growing numbers of U.S. troops and their expanding deployments. The Armed Forces Recreation Society recently elected new leaders who will help the association develop worthwhile programs that support these efforts.

Mike Criswell, a fitness specialist from Giessen, Germany, was recently elected second vice president of AFRS. He will be supporting AFRS President Kim Combs from the Military District in Washington, and Rodney Johnson, CPRP, who is the AFRS 1st vice president and works with the Coast Guard in Massachusetts. Paul Keenan, CPRP, recently stepped down as AFRS president. Keenan is with AFIT at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
