Donate to Park Relief

NRPA is committed to helping those affected by the recent tsunamis and earthquakes in Asia. To solidify this commitment, we have coordinated a "Park Relief" plan to raise aid throughout the United States.

At the outset, all "Park Relief" funding will go toward critical aid provisions necessary in the aftermath of the disaster. As situations stabilize, "Park Relief" will coordinate long-term restoration efforts of Asia's parks and recreational amenities.

A steering committee will determine the ways in which "Park Relief" coordinates with countries, agencies and individuals to ensure that all funds are allocated positively and efficiently. Leadership for this effort will be provided by Cindy Welsh, the recently retired director of Loudoun County's Recreation, Parks and Community Services Department.
