NRPA is launching the Step Up to Health ... It Starts in Parks movement through a series of one day summits with support from the National Football League Youth Football Fund.
You are invited to join this national grassroots movement by attending one of the Step Up to Health ... It Starts in Parks one-day summits scheduled in 17 locations nationwide between February and May.
The impact of sedentary lifestyles is causing a health crisis in America. What will be the impact on the parks and recreation movement? What is our role in advancing healthy lifestyles and livable communities? Join us and find out how you and your agency can take a leadership role in your community.
NRPA has been developing a community mobilization model over the past five years through the Hearts N' Parks partnership with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; Step Up to Health ... It Starts In Parks is the next chapter in building a grassroots movement through parks and recreation.
