Future Fisherman Foundation's Tackle Box Program - Rec Room - Brief Article

Parks & Recreation, March, 2002

Discounted tackle and educational materials are now available through the Future Fisherman Foundation's Tackle Box Program. This service is available to government and nonprofit agencies that provide youth and adult fishing programs.

The Future Fisherman Foundation is the recruitment and education arm of the American Sportfishing Association (ASA). The ASA, based in Alexandria, Va., is the trade association for fishing tackle manufacturers, distributors and others. Through its members, the Future Fisherman Foundation provides nonprofits with fishing equipment and fishing education materials priced well below retail.

Discounted fishing tackle and educational materials can be ordered at www. futurefisherman.org. Select the "FTLP" page and follow the links to the "Tackle Catalogue" and then "Tackle-Box." Before entering, you will be asked to register for a password. This password will help ensure that only nonprofit and government agencies access this service. All materials offered are geared towards beginning anglers.

If you need items not listed or want more information, please contact Laura Jones at store@futurefisherman.org.
