Auction items needed for APRS
Parks & Recreation, March, 2004
If you have a few buried treasures in your attic or know someone who might, the American Park and Recreation Society needs you--or at least your stuff!
The organization is looking for donations to the 2004 Live Auction, Silent Auction and Cash-N-Carry events being held at the National Recreation and Park Association National Congress in Reno, Nev. Dates and times of the events will be announced as more details become available. In the meantime, support APRS educational programs by donating.
Popular auction items from the past include:
* Sports paraphernalia, collectibles or equipment
* Gift baskets (food, wine or other cool stuff)
* Artwork
* Golf outings or packages
* Weekend get-aways
* Small appliances or electronic equipment
For the Cash-N-Carry event, less expensive items are needed such as water bottles, hats, clothing or similar items for all of the "bargain shoppers."
To donate, or to ask questions, contact Carolyn Griffith, CPRP at (307) 235-8393 or e-mail cgriffith@cityofcasperwy.com.
All donated items should be mailed to: APRS AUCTION 22377 Belmont Ridge Road Ashburn, VA 20148-4501.
