Carolyn J. Keith, CPRP, has been appointed the new Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Commerce City, Colo. She has over 20 years of progressive experience in the field of parks and recreation. Keith started on January 17, 2002, and is adjusting quickly to her new role. Keith was with Foothills Park and Recreation District in Littleton, Colo.

for over 13 years, most of which as manager of recreation and regional parks. She holds a BS in recreation administration/ business from the University of Wyoming and an MS in recreation administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. "I am very excited to be joining the Commerce City team and Parks, Recreation and Golf staff," says Keith. "It is obvious that the community sees value in the parks and recreation department and it is apparent that the City Council and city manager support its activities."
