Elevated Sand Table - Product Roundup - Brief Article - Buyers Guide

Parks & Recreation, April, 2002

The fully accessible Elevated Sand Table from Landscape Structures, Inc. puts the sand trays at a height of 30 inches, enabling children in wheelchairs to move right up to the table and dig into the fun with everyone else. Two side-by-side basins create nearly 90 inches of playing surface that can be reached from all sides. In addition, the table features a clever way to move the sand to and from the playing surface. Kids can fill a rotationally molded sand bucket at ground level and then raise it along a track and dump it on the tabletop. The sand bucket can also be filled with sand from the table surface via a 4-inch diameter tube.
