New swimming and water safety program announced
Parks & Recreation, April, 2004
Just in time for Summer 2004 is the release of the American Red Cross's updated swimming and water safety program. It offers opportunities for the aquatic industry to keep the public safe in and around the water with training that takes less time that lets parents and kids do together.
American Red Cross national technical staff along with external aquatics experts came together in 2002 to begin revising and updating the renowned program. The update represents the first major revision in 12 years and begins hitting Red Cross chapters this month. "We are very excited about this and we believe our partners and customers will be pleased as well," said Scott Conner, American Red Cross vice president of preparedness.
"Through these integrations we believe that parental satisfaction with the aquatic experience and the facility will be increased."
