NEDS proves to be a success

Parks & Recreation, May, 2005

The National Executive Development School (NEDS) was another tremendous success with 22 speakers and 82 attendees from 18 states coming together Jan. 12-15, at the Hilton Las Cruces in Las Cruces, N.M.

Presentations covered important subjects such as team building, professional development, building political support base, contract management and tourism, and parks and recreation. Attendees really seem to enjoy the condensed matter the school is presented in. "There is always information to take back and implement. The school atmosphere is invaluable to developing personnel and encouraging ongoing learning for park and recreation professionals," stated one NEDS attendee.

The 2006 National Executive Development School will be held Jan. 11-14 at the Sheraton Old Town in Albuquerque, N.M. Visit www.nrpa.org/neds for more information.
