Parks & Recreation, June, 2005

Sept. 11-15

La Jolla, Calif.

Leading Edge Marketing, Revenue and Management Tools

Helping you make a difference in your community

Park and recreation agencies are continually challenged to deliver more with less, and to grow non-tax based revenue streams. This school has been successful for 25 years because participants return to their agencies with useful strategies for becoming more entrepreneurial and business-minded. From product development and communications to fund development, participants will gather innovative ideas and techniques.

First Year: As a first-year student, you will participate in a combination of presentations and interactive exercises for a quality learning experience.

Second Year: The second-year program is offered for those students who have completed the first-year level, and offers an intimate setting for discussion, problem solving and shared success.

Third Year Advanced Institute: A unique, intensive learning experience designed to achieve a high level of participation and communication with expert instructors, the Advanced Institute curriculum changes annually and addresses state-of-the-art concepts that can be applied to the challenges that face today's professional. The institute is limited to 20 students that have completed the first and second year of the school.

Executive Forum: Exercising leadership for public parks and recreation in a climate of changing times is a high-risk and demanding enterprise. If you are a senior manager or executive and you want to expand your leadership capacity, this is for you! Because of the highly interactive nature of the program, the number of participants is limited to 20.
