New program strengthens city government

The establishment of the Corporate Partners Program in May will help promote the exchange of ideas between corporate leaders and the leaders of America's cities. Part of the National League of Cities, whose mission is to help cities become centers of opportunity, leadership and governance, the Corporate Partners Program will strengthen local government, encourage economic competitive and promote corporate civic engagement.

At the helm will be Gregory Dyson, senior vice president of marketing for the Washington, D.C.-based ICMA Retirement Corporation. Dyson has led the marketing efforts for a broad range of real estate and investment organizations, including the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust, Cushman & Wakefield and recently ICMA. He is also a member of the National Forum of Black Public Administrators Advisory Council; is a frequent speaker on the subject of retirement planning, and is involved with various local charities and community organizations.
