Keep the Wild Alive Poster Presented To Bat House Builders - National Wildlife Federation - Brief Article
International Wildlife, March-April, 2000
In honor of threatened and endangered bats, like the Indiana bat featured in its Keep the Wild Alive endangered spe- cies campaign, NWF is urging members to hang bat boxes to provide habitat for the many species that will emerge soon from winter hibernation.
From now until April 30, or while supplies last, people who send in pictures of their bat boxes will receive a Keep the Wild Alive color poster depicting the 25 endangered species from around the world that NWF is highlighting in its campaign.
For information on how to build and mount a bat house, check NWF's web site at www.nwf.org/wildalive, call 703-790-4434 or write Backyard Wildlife Habitat Program, NWF, 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, Virginia 22184.
Send photos of your bat box to Elizabeth Murdock, NWF, 1400 16th St. NW, Washington, DC 20036.
