No Depression

Sing Out! The Folk Song Magazine, Spring, 2008

On February 19, No Depression, the bimonthly magazine covering American roots music since 1995, announced it would be ending its print publication with its 75th issue in May-June 2008, citing a severe reduction in print advertising, the impact of downloadable music on the record industry and the struggling economy.

The magazine plans to expand the publication's website (<www.nodepression.net>) with additional content, though this will in no way replace the print edition. No Depression is in negotiations with similar publications in attempt to fulfill any remaining subscriptions.
