GREG BROWN, Yellow Dog, (Earthwork 001). This live album, recorded August 26, 2005, at a benefit concert, raised funds for the Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and debuts three new songs highlighted by "Conesville Slough," a partially locally set love song, and "Oily Boys," a topical indictment of the Bush Administration and its corporate allies.
Brown also offers several of his best-loved songs including "Dream Cafe" and "Laughing River," which is also locally set in the Upper Peninsula.
