A tall tale, then a short film
The documentary The Year of the Yao will be released in U.S. theaters this spring, when viewers can get an all-access look at Yao Ming's rookie season with the Rockets. There also are plans for a film that looks at an international player's indoctrination into the NBA, tentatively titled A Minute with Milicic.
Maybe Isiah should hire Sipowicz
Once, NYPD Blue was a really big deal, always entertaining and wrapped in drama. But thanks to questionable personnel moves, weary plot lines and its devolution into a one-star vehicle, the show is ending its run at a time when you almost forget it still exists.
