The field 2004: even if Nextel Cup teams don't change drivers, they change colors almost every year

These days, you need a program not only to tell the players but to pick out the uniforms. Pro teams are forever rolling out retro jerseys, pregame jerseys, third jerseys, All-Star jerseys....

Then there's NASCAR. The firesuits worn by the drivers pretty much stay the same throughout the season, but that's hard to see with drivers crouched behind the wheel. It's tough enough to make out a car when it's whizzing past you at 197 mph in a pack that's three wide and 11 deep.

So we'll make things simple with the annual presentation of the primary early-season paint schemes of every full-time ride in NASCAR's Nextel Cup Series.
